Sølvrev releases documentary music video starring Sondre Lerche as himself.

When the pandemic turned everyday life upside down and made it difficult for people to meet in person, the entire Norwegian festival industry had to adapt quickly to find new solutions for festival-hungry audiences. Many chose to create digital festivals with exclusive content and live streams for their followers. When Øyafestivalen set about creating their version, they asked artist Sondre Lerche to contribute content for fans. He called Sølvrev partner William Glandberger, who handled both direction, camera work and editing for the entire film. Godt hjulpet av Sondre selv.

"For the first pandemic edition of Bergenfest in 2020, we produced a live-on-tape concert with Sondre Lerche at Håkonshallen. It was the first time we worked with Sondre, and we immediately noticed that he is the type who likes to be involved in the entire process. He is incredibly creative and full of good ideas, while also being a great team player who is open to input and other people's perspectives. I got the impression he was very happy with the process and the result that time, which led to him getting in touch again over the summer. It was then Øyafestivalen's turn to create a digital festival, and Sondre had been asked to deliver approximately 10 minutes of exclusive video content to be shown only to ticket holders," says director Glandberger.

While Sondre Lerche was working on the recording of Alone In The Night – a track featured on his critically acclaimed album Avatars of Love – the idea emerged to follow Lerche through the process, revealing the sides of the artist's life that festival-goers and listeners rarely get to see.

"The process was very straightforward and natural. As it was the first time we worked together in this way, Sondre had some ideas, and from there we bounced things back and forth over Messenger, before I one day showed up outside the apartment he was borrowing here in Bergen at nine o'clock on a Monday morning in August. From there, I spent two days with Sondre during the recording of the track," concludes Glandberger.
